Each year, glider models become lighter and at the same time must maintain their strength. Therefore CN-Models have developed and produce two new types of Carboweave® that fully meet these conditions – it`s CW 58 and CW 53. With low weight, the models remain durable.
These types of Carboweave® carbon fabrics are well used in the construction of F3B and F3F glider models, as well as in the production of glider-copies. UMS40 carbon fabrics, compared to IMS65 fabrics, allow you to create more rigid structures and parts.

Applications:
Carboweave® CW 53 is well used in the construction of F3B and F3F glider models, as well as in the production of glider-copies.

We are offer our customers the next generation of ultra lightweight carbon fabrics, which show a difference in quality through their appearance quite clearly. The fiber distribution is much more homogeneous, thus the fabric itself does not incorporate clusters of fibers or holes. The fiber orientation –this is the even more important criteria– is absolutely straight and virtually free of undulation. Furthermore an improved surface quality is achieved in comparison to its preceding material.

Fiber properties:
Tensile strength = 4700 MPa, tensile modulus = 390 GPa, elongation at break = 1,2 %. The high modulus fiber Toho Tenax® UMS is a carbon fiber for meeting the requirements of extra stiffness (elastic stiffness). Exceptional characteristics of this material are especially suitable for constructions for space applications, such as satellite constructions, antennas, shafts and rollers. Properties of TohoTenax® UMS fully meet the requirements of sports goods (fishing rods, boat masts, radio controlled models, ski sticks, etc.)
Versions Carboweave® with Tenax® UMS40 for very stiff parts are available.
